Opportunity to take part in this show

After the huge success of ‘Nativity The Musical’, Bishops Stortford Academy of Performing Arts are very excited to be auditioning for their upcoming production of ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat’ to be performed at South Mill Arts.

Looking to cast our adult company, we now seek the following:

• Narrator – Lead role – Tells the story through word and song, strong vocals required – mezzo soprano, good movement.  Playing age – 20 – 50 yrs
• Joseph – Lead role – Jacob’s favourite son, strong vocals required – tenor, good movement – playing age 20 – 35 yrs
• Jacob – Supporting role – The father of twelve sons – baritone – playing age 50 yrs plus
• Pharaoh – Supporting role – strong vocals and comedy required.  Portrayed as an Elvis-Presley style figure – playing age 20 – 40 yrs
• Joseph’s 11 Brothers (could be female) – all require solo singing and strong vocals and dance/movement.  Will double in as additional characters and ensemble, any playing age
• Potiphar – Supporting role – a powerful and rich man.  Featured role, some singing – playing age 40 yrs plus
• Mrs Potiphar – beautiful but evil.  Good dancer, doubles as one of the wives – playing age 20 yrs plus
• Baker – male or female, featured role, some singing, any playing age
• Butler – male or female, featured role, some singing, any playing age
• The Wives – 11 wives of Josephs 11 brothers, good dancers, any playing age
• ADULT COMPANY – Various roles of all genders and ages required to multi-role and also join our adult ensemble.
• CHILDRENS CHOIR – Choir required to support with all the favourites, including the classic ‘Any Dream Will Do’
