Theatre/Stage School

Theatre/Stage School for 7-18 year olds

Our performing arts academy provides the opportunity for our students to develop singing, acting and dancing skills whilst building confidence in a fun and safe environment.

Our 2020/21 term is from the 27th September to the 25th July 2021, where we will be looking to complete two productions with the first show being High School Musical Jr at the end of January 2021 and then in February we are looking to start another production for our students to perform on stage in July 2021.

Our choice of productions are specifically chosen to provide as much opportunity as possible for a diverse and young cast.  With many roles available in our tailored productions all students can fulfill their potential, whether this be taking part in the theatre for fun or for those that wish to progress further in the arts.

If you have always wanted to perform on the stage, then our theatre group is ideal as all our students take part in our theatre productions staged at South Mill Arts (formerly Rhodes Theatre), providing a true theatre experience.

Our students will benefit from tutition and guidance from our highly skilled Directors, Choregraphers and Musical Directors, drawn from an extensive background of theatre, drama, dance and singing.

Rehearsals and theatre training is held on Sundays at South Mill Arts between the hours 2 and 4pm under strict Government Covid Guidelines, Department of Education Guidelines, Public Health England and Out of School Settings Guidance (OOSS). We are constantly monitoring and adapting to Government advice to ensure the safety of our students and staff and is paramount at all times.
